  • Remote Camera

    AweSun offers cross-platform remote camera feature, which is exclusive to AweSun Pro and AweSun Game. This feature allows you to access the remote device’s camera to see what is going on at the remote side. You can remote access the camera of a PC or an Android device from your local PC or mobile device.

    *To use this feature, the remote device and the local device must be under the same AweSun account.

    Access a PC Camera from PC

    To access the camera of a remote PC from your local PC, follow these steps:

    1. Open up AweSun on both your local and remote PC.

    2. On your local PC, go to “Device List”, select a device and click “Camera”.

    3. Ask for access permission from the remote device.

    4. After connection, the view the remote camera captured will show on your local screen as shows below.

    At the top of the screen, several options are offered:

    Rotate: Turn around the picture to be vertical/horizontal.

    Sound: Turn on/off the sound.

    Record: Record the running session and the recorded file will be saved on your local device.

    Screenshot: Take a screenshot by one click.

    Standard: Adjust the view quality to Standard/High/Super.

    Setting: Adjust the brightness and contrast.

    : Turn on/off the full screen mode.

    Access an Android Camera from PC

    AweSun allows you to access the camera of a remote Android device with AweSun Client app installed from your PC. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open up AweSun on the PC and AweSun Client on the Android device.

    2. On your PC, go to “Device List”, select the remote Android device and click “Camera”.

    3. After connection, the view the remote camera captured will show on the local PC screen.

    At the bottom of the screen, several options are offered:

    :Take a screenshot with a click.

    :Record the session.

    :Switch between front & rear camera.

    :Rotate the picture to vertical/horizontal.

    :Mirror flip the picture.

    Access a PC Camera from Mobile Device

    To remotely access a PC camera from your mobile device (take iOS as an example here), follow these steps:

    1. Open up AweSun on both the PC and the mobile device.

    2. On your phone, go to “Devices”, select the remote PC you want to connect to and tap “Camera”.

    3. After connection, the view remote camera captured will show on the screen.

    4. Tap the icon at the bottom. AweSun offers the same options as explained under Access a PC Camera from PC.

    *Besides the options directly shown at bottom, tap “More”, options are offered that include:

    Snapshot: Take a screenshot.

    SD: Adjust the quality of the view.

    Setting: Adjust the brightness and contrast.

    Access an Android Camera from Mobile Device

    AweSun allows a mobile device (take iOS as an example here) to remote access the camera of an Android device with AweSun Client app installed. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open up AweSun on the local mobile device and AweSun Client on the Android device.

    2. On your local mobile device, go to “Devices”, select the Android device you want to connect and tap “Camera”.

    3. After the connection, the view of the remote camera will show on your local screen. Same options are offered as explained under Access a PC Camera from Mobile Device.
